The relationship between toxic leadership and nurses' followership effectiveness

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between toxic leadership and nurse followership effectiveness. Design: A quantitative cross-sectional study. Methods: was carried out in all medical surgical inpatient care units at Alexandria Main University Hospital. In total, 343 nurses completed scale styles questionnaires. Frequencies percentages were used present demographic characteristics; means standard deviations continuous variables. An independent sample t-test, Pearson correlation, linear regression analysis conducted test nature of Results: The results indicated a slightly moderate mean percentage score for high addition, there significant negative weak correlation Conclusion: Training programs should be designed leaders followers develop self-insight / awareness, maintain self-control accountability, advance skills. Controlling systems developed immediate identification of ongoing behavior organization, whistleblower protection system established.
